CINQUE TERRE
Easter Sunday and a house call...
Mark was under the weather as we hit the Cinque Terre Villages. A minor sinus infection. Sally was at the front desk in a very timely manner as the staff were assisting another tour member with a house call. Within a couple hours we had a doctor on site, antibiotics prescribed, and a trip to the local pharmacy ensued to fill the script. It was Easter Sunday, and the cost was very reasonable. What a memory. The doc carried his old leather bag into the room, did his evaluation. Besides the sinus issue, he told Mark to lose 4 inches from his midsection, and that he was no Mike Tyson. We were limited for a couple of days, but nothing was going to stop us from exploring the area.

Gorgeous lemons on the path to Villa Steno! We love lemons...(see below)...

We all got bunnies on Easter Sunday!
After visiting the local pharmacy we had a private lunch at the our hotel Villa Steno. Still water seen. Sparkling water (acqua frizzante) or still water (acqua naturale) are generally your two choices in Italy.

WWII pillbox sitting on the coast.

Pesto making class. I asked if lemon was an ingredient. I was corrected immediately. 80 basil leaves, a garlic clove, 1 tablespoon pine nuts, 2 spoons of parm, and good olive oil. A portion for two. NO LEMON! Magical night and meal.

View from our room. The clean salt air seemed to help more than the antibiotics.

Do you see her?
