DAY TRIPS
Cogli l'attimo "seize the moment"
In between moves to major cities and towns, we were treated to several stops along the way. These included Trento, Bergamo, Pistoia, and Pisa.

Trento. We were told he owned Perla Bar where we had lunch, and his name was Rio. He held that pose for at least 3 minutes for all to capture. You cannot make this stuff up.

Ötzi the Iceman. A 5300 year old man preserved in ice. Several folks on tour said this was one of their favorite moments in Italy.
Pisa. The Baptistery and Duomo to the left and cemetery to the right

Il Sole Ristorante. Pictured is Casoeula, a traditional dish from the Bergamo area. It is a dish based on pork meat, mainly ribs, accompanied by savoy cabbage (a very flavorful leafy green vegetable) and salamella, which is a typical sausage.

And Now For Something Completely Different. We
tried to get a straight
shot of the tower. Not bad!

Piazza della Sala in Pistoia, Italy, is a historic square known for its Pozzo del Leoncino (Little Lion Well) 15th century.

Bergamo Funicular

The highlight on many day outings were the local markets!
